Description:

Sepia tone landscape of beach houses nestled on the far side of dune grasses and at the base of the mountain. Photo appears to be taken from Calle del Resaca facing south. One house in particular with stone chimney (at the end of Calle del Onda) has since burned down but the chimney remains. There are also wooden walkways or wind breaks visible that stretch out onto the sand. At the bottom left of the photograph is written in white Stinson Beach, Calif. On the bottom right Zan 1858.
