Description:
This color photograph shows an oceanfront house at Calle Del Ribera being inundated by the sea during the storm of 1982-83. The front part of the house is torn apart and piled against the house. This house belonged to Dale Kelley who originally owned this series of photographs. He was an old client of Albert Engel and entrusted the photographs to him. Al donated this series, 2010-103, to SBHS. Dale Kelley was a friend of Sellmers who had his factory and residence on the same street. The photographs were rescued from the house after the storm.

Provenance:
