An original black and white photograph of the practice drill of Stinson Beach Volunteer Fire Department donated by then volunteer and resident, Douglas Smith. Shows a small cottage on Calle del Sierra burning and 2 firemen are subduing the fire with water. Smoke filles upper left and center of the photo. On the far right a house, the second from the ocean is visible. The burning house has a white picket fence on the side toward the ocean. Toward the highway, under the smoke, another house can be seen. A hot water heater lays on the ground in front of the house. On the back of the photo: stamped "This is not a permanent print - For Reproduction Only," May 18, 1968. Also written in pen; Practice drill for Volunteer Fire Dept. Now, Kevin Lorne property. 17 Calle Del Sierra. Dildine family owned house prior to 1950's.
