This black and white photograph depicts a man and a woman walking toward the camera. They are holding a rod or stick between them from which is hanging a large backpack or bundle. The man, in a white shirt, dark trousers and a hat, has a strap across his chest indicating another bundle on his back and he is holding a bag with handles in his free hand. The woman is wearing a white shirt and light skirt and a hat. Behind them walking on the same road is another man, hatless. Beside the road at the right of the picture is a house, extending over a hillside with a porch railing running around the two visible sides of the house. The porch railings are alternating vertical and horizontal.
